Within the project of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), various devices have been handed over to the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AFSI). Thus, within the framework of the activities of the JICA Alumni Association Azerbaijan, the project "Provision of slaughterhouses with small laboratory equipment" under the relevant program for 2021 was awarded a mini grant.

The purpose of the project and the requirement of the participants was to provide the country with small tools necessary for the production of quality and safe products at agricultural facilities. These basic conditions and other requirements have been successfully fulfilled by the AFSI specialist. Thus, the provision of portable stationary measuring instruments at slaughterhouses is highlighted as a key factor. The project envisages the provision of a number of veterinarians working at relevant slaughterhouses with high-precision devices such as portable thermometers and pH meters.

It should be noted that JICA plans to organize such small grant projects every year.
