Trainings are being held within the framework of the “Nutrition guide for school-child” project, which aims to promote healthy eating among schoolchildren. The next training on the topic of "What should we pay attention to when buying, storing and using food?" conducted by the specialists of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AFSI).
An extensive presentation on the topic was demonstrated at the training and the main points that consumers should look at in the label information when choosing a food product were brought to attention. At the same time, they discussed important issues during the purchase, storage and consumption of food, including meat and meat products, fish products, eggs, milk and dairy products, dried fruits, as well as energy drinks.
It should be noted that the project, implemented by AFSI and inculcating healthy eating habits, is implemented with the support of UNICEF and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Participants who successfully complete the training will exercise public control over the operation of cafeterias in their schools, as well as the parties' compliance with food safety and sanitary regulations.
