The Institute of Food Safety conducts scientific and practical studies and research, prepares drafts of standards and other normative technical legal acts in the field of food safety, organizes training on the application of international standards, trains professional experts in the field of food safety, establishes mutual cooperation with local and foreign entrepreneurs, adheres to scientific principles of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which carries out risk assessment, issuing international certificates in the field of food safety, engaging international trainers and applying the best practice program, providing laboratory examinations, expertise and research (measurement) services on the safety and quality indicators of food products is a subordinate institution that is not included in its structure.
