Rating / Star Project – Measuring Quality and Trust for Public Catering Establishments
What is the essence of service?
The Rating, or Star Project, implemented by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute (AQSI), systematically measures and evaluates the compliance of public catering establishments with food safety, service quality and performance standards. Each establishment is rated with a certain number of stars according to its level of performance. This approach clearly shows the strengths and areas for development of the establishment and serves as an objective indicator for both local and foreign customers.
Requirements for the Rating Star project in Azerbaijani legislation
The “Rating Star” project was developed to ensure the implementation of subparagraph 10.6.2 of the “State Program on Ensuring Food Safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2025”, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1143 dated April 29, 2019, and establishes the rules for determining the rating of public catering facilities operating in the food sector based on risk indicators.
